Maple Pumpkin
On a walk the other day, I found a few maple seeds on the ground— we used to call them whirligigs. I picked up a few to draw but when I dropped one, my dog Finn went nuts for this new fun toy. So I pocketed as many as possible to save them for canine entertainment. Having a pocket stuffed full of seeds made me feel like a kid again.
This image features one wonky pumpkin with a twisty stem (my favorite thing to draw) plus a couple maple leaves, some whirly gigs, and a few sprigs of Rabbit Tail Grass (Lagurus Ovatus).
